Active Youth Stella

Stella People

The Association for Active Youth “Stella” is a youth non-profit organization established in 2013, uniting Ukrainian students, volunteers, and alumni of international programs. Rooted in Kharkiv, and actively providing activities in Kyiv, Stella operates nationally and internationally.

The main aim of NGO Stella is to promote youth development in Ukraine and to foster the active participation of its citizens in civil society. Our core objectives include supporting international exchange programs aimed at mutual understanding; promoting active youth action and the ideas of tolerance, cultural diversity, and non-formal education; and raising awareness of the dangers of xenophobia and discrimination. Ultimately, our mission is the promotion of peace between all cultures and nations. We primarily work with youth aged 18 to 30, but have recently increased our focus on teenagers and also engage individuals over 30 as group leaders and trainers.

Stella People With Stella Flag

Before the full-scale invasion, our focus was on young people from rural areas and those with economic difficulties. Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, we have strategically shifted our work to supporting refugees and internally displaced people (IDPs) in Ukraine and abroad.

We invest our efforts in giving youth tools for education and showing the diversity of the world, believing that today’s youth is the future of the country. We actively spread knowledge through dissemination activities, including numerous online events on active citizenship and youth opportunities abroad.
